We are looking for a proactive and business-minded Senior Legal Counsel to strengthen our legal capabilities and support the company’s continued growth. This is a key role for a lawyer who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced environment and wants to work close to the business.

About the Role
As our in-house legal counsel, you will provide legal advice across the company, supporting management and various functions with clear, solution-oriented guidance. You’ll work on a broad range of legal matters including issues related to our financial products, consumer protection, customer relationships, and a variety of commercial contracts. The role also includes supporting the company in its dialogue with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen), as well as handling regulatory matters and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to management and business units on day-to-day issues and strategic projects
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts and legal documents
• Handle legal matters related to the company’s financial products, including terms, marketing, and customer-facing documentation
• Advise on consumer protection law and other customer-related legal matters
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments relevant to the credit market sector
• Support corporate governance work, including board processes and regulatory filings
• Collaborate with Compliance and Risk functions to ensure alignment and efficiency
• Coordinate with external legal advisors when needed
• Ensure legal policies, templates, and procedures are up to date and fit for purpose

Your Profile

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) from a Swedish university
• 3–6 years of relevant experience from a law firm and/ or in-house legal department, preferably within the financial sector
• Strong skills in contract law, commercial law, and general legal matters
• Good understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to credit institutions and financial regulation is meritorious, but not a requirement
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A hands-on, structured, and business-focused mindset—you make the complex simple and provide practical solutions
