Are you an experienced compliance professional ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for an experienced and pragmatic Chief Compliance Officer to lead our compliance function. This is a key role in ensuring that our operations stay aligned with regulatory requirements while supporting the business in a practical and solution-focused way.

About the role:

As Chief Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our operations comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, with a special focus on financial regulations and consumer credit. You will work closely with senior management and the Board of Directors, act as an independent control function, and play a key role in our risk management framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and continuously improve the Compliance function in line with regulations and business needs
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement relevant changes across the organization
• Provide clear, practical guidance to management and staff on compliance-related issues
• Conduct internal reviews, risk assessments, and follow-ups
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the Board and Finansinspektionen
• Maintain and update internal policies, procedures, and routines
• Build compliance awareness through targeted training and support

Qualifications:

• Master of Laws (LL.M.)
• Solid experience from a compliance role in the financial sector—ideally in a credit market company, bank, or similar
• Strong working knowledge of relevant Swedish and EU regulations (e.g. Consumer Credit Act, AML/CTF, FI regulations)
• Able to work independently and manage relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish
• High integrity, sound judgment, and a proactive mindset
• A hands-on and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to turn regulatory requirements into practical actions and support the business in day-to-day compliance matters
